During the pandemic, a lot of our usual partners are closed or limit availability. Many people also need to self-isolate for their own or others' safety. We therefore do deliveries to your home in the TN6 postcodes. Please order below, giving us two days notice. Note that we only deliver on Saturdays and Sundays.

Freshdough is Laura's from-home micro bakery, serving farm shop, cafés and the community around Crowborough as well as providing training for aspiring or experienced home bakers. Laura's specialties include Croissants and Pain au chocolat, Sourdough bread and specialty breads. She loves experimenting and the range of product will change regularly with the seasons and experimentations!

LAURA'S JOURNEY TO BAKING

Based in Crowborough, Fresh Dough is a home-based microbakery producing handmade pastries and breads on demand.

Trained as a dancer and choreographer, I have swapped my ballet shoes for bannetons to spend time with my two young children - but I still love the odd jobs in the evening!
Since July 2016, I have grown my love of bread-making from' Hobby to Business' selling to farm shops, catering suppliers, cafes, individual customers and farmer markets.

My favourite bread is a white seeded sourdough loaf . With its crunchy crust and elastic crumb it is rich in texture. My homemade ferment gives it a lovely flavour with a hint of sourness. And the five seeds blend keeps moisture in the bread a day longer!

I only use the essential ingredients to make my doughs. Meaning: no extra ingredients for the sake of it, no preservatives, no fuss.
​The good side is: you know exactly what you are eating.
The bad side: the aesthetic isn't always at its best. For example, strengthen flours with additional gluten with keep the croissants in a lovely shape, all puffed up and airy. But compared to my croissants, they are flavourless.
